Charles "Snooks" Ericson, 83, died May 30 at his home. He was the husband for 58 years to Jean Riendeau Ericson.

He was born Nov. 1, 1929, in New Milford and had been a resident of Fort Pierce, Fla., for 28 years, after moving there from New Milford.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II. He retired from Southern New England Telephone Co. after 32 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Beverley, and her husband, David Caram; a son, Steven, and his wife, Michelle Ericson; and daughter, Pamela, and her husband, Peter Sandstrom; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will take place at a time to be determined by the family.

Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home & Crematory, in Vero Beach, Fla., was in charge of the arrangements.
