Bank Street and environs in the New Milford village center will share a special vibrancy Sunday afternoon.

The Greater New Milford Chamber of Commerce will play host to the fourth annual Harvest Festival in downtown Oct. 7 from noon to 5 p.m.

The southern crossing of the Village Green and Bank Street will be closed to traffic for the festivities, which will include live music, dancing, a dog costume parade, children's activities, shopping and dining, and more.

Entertainment will be on two stages -- on Bank Street and another on the Village Green -- throughout the day.

Residents interested in signing up their dog for the dog costumer parade can register outside the Barkery Boo-tique on Bank Street beginning at 11 a.m.

The parade is expected to kick off sometime early afternoon.

Registration is $5. Proceeds will benefit 2 Million Dogs, an organization that raises awareness of canine cancer.
