The spirit of the Civil War era and the sublime musical talents of the Sherman Chamber Ensemble proved a winning tandem recently during an open-air concert on the grounds of the Sherman Historical Society.

The ensemble presented a July 9 show featuring music from the Civil War years to an appreciative crowd enjoying their balmy Sunday afternoon with fellow Sherman-area music lovers.

The Chamber Ensemble will also present concerts Aug. 12 and Sept. 2 at 8 p.m. at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church on Main Street in Kent and Aug. 13 and Sept. 3 at 8 p.m. at the Lake Mauweehoo Clubhouse on Leach Hollow Road in Sherman.
