Bonni Manning of Sherman, a longtime member of the New Milford business community, said when she “needed radiation therapy, I chose to stay close to home — the Diebold Family Cancer Center at New Milford Hospital.”

Manning credits the center’s staff and integrative medicine program as being an integral part of her overall experience.

“The staff is like a big family,” she said.

Survivor Bette-Lou Emmons of New Milford said the center also helped her as she underwent radiation and chemotherapy treatment.

“They envelop you with love,” she said. “I wouldn’t go anywhere else.”
