To the Editor:
Mr. Frank Harden left Harrybrooke Park, a 41-acre park and its buildings, to the residents of New Milford back in 1965.
It is a special piece of heaven right here in the southern part of town. The park is enjoyed by many, whether we are walkers, bike riders, runners or just families enjoying a picnic or special event.
The geese have had their babies, and what a joy to see them swimming in the lake and pond.
The park is supported by donations and special events.
Volunteers give up their time to help keep it clean and presentable.
The town pays nothing for the park.
A wonderful way to thank this most generous man would be to make a donation to Harrybrooke Park in memory of Frank Harden.
