A free business seminar series, “Business Matters in New Milford,” will kick off April 14 in New Milford.

The series is co-sponsored by the Greater New Milford Chamber of Commerce, Western Connecticut SCORE, New Milford Public Library and the New Milford Economic Development Commission.

Area small business owners and entrepreneurs are invited to attend one or all of the workshops that will include presentations on improving cash flow, goal setting, and panel discussions with representatives from each agency.

“Know Your Local Resources” will be the topic April 14 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Chamber’s “Lunch & Learn” program at the railroad station on Railroad Street, as well June 14 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the library on Main Street.

Representatives from the Chamber, the library, SCORE and the New Milford EDC will host a panel discussion and question-and-answer period to provide insight into the information, tools and resources available to existing and new businesses.

“Improving Your Cash Flow” will be the topic May 12 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Chamber’s “Lunch & Learn” program at the railroad station.

The program will focus on how to better manage cash flow, what key areas to address in a cash flow program, and what common mistakes to avoid.

The final seminar,” Goal Setting for Small Business Owners,” will be offered July 12 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the library.

Each of the four seminar dates will include the presentation, a question-and- answer period, networking and complimentary lunch or refreshments.
