The Board of Directors of the New Milford Visiting Nurse Association has appointed Kerri Ann Brinckerhoff to the position of executive director/chief executive officer.

She assumed day-to-day leadership of the nationally recognized Medicare agency Feb. 5.

Brinckerhoff joined the agency last year as Hospice director.

“She demonstrated a natural ability to lead, and a passionate commitment to help shape the long-term strategic vision for the agency,” said Richard Kosier, president of the New Milford VNA & Hospice Board of Directors.

“The Board of Directors and I believe that we have the right culture and talent in place,” he said. “We see in Kerri a leader who can leverage our strengths to help build a stronger, more vibrant agency that is able to meet future challenges.”

“This is an exciting time for New Milford VNA & Hospice,” Brinckerhoff said. “We have deep roots in the community. For 100 years, we have taken care of families, and we have built strong partnerships with the medical community and local municipalities and businesses.”

“To stay true to our mission and still stay financially strong, we need to modernize operations,” she said. “I have no doubt we can make that happen.”

Brinckerhoff earned a master of nursing degree at Western Connecticut State University in Danbury.

She and her husband have been residents of New Milford for the past 23 years and have five children.

Her new role creates an open position at the agency. New Milford VNA & Hospice has commenced a search for a new Hospice director.
