Brenda Klein, 65, of Troy, Maine, formerly of Southbury, died May 26 at her home. The cause was renal cell carcinoma. She was the wife of Charles Klein for 48 years.

She was born Oct. 13, 1947, in Woodbury, the youngest of six children born to the late Herbert and Elizabeth Benson. She grew up in Southbury and graduated from Southbury High School in 1965.

She and her husband, Charlie, moved to rural Maine in 1992 to "live the good life." She enjoyed spending time with family, her flower gardens, holidays, her dogs, and weekends at the camp on Graham Lake.

She was a longtime employee of the Sebasticook Valley Health Care Facility.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Charles, and his wife, Rashel, of Pittsfield, Maine; George, and his wife, Shannon, of Unity, Maine; and Mary, and her husband, Lee, of Troy; eight grandchildren, Jake, Nigel, Cameron, Caleb, Kiersten, Jasmine, Tanner and Daniel; a special niece, Edie Valerio, and her husband, Dominick, and their children, Jessica and Emily, of Palmdale, Calif.; a sister, Lois, and her husband, Charles Moon, of Port Charlotte, Fla.; a brother, Myron, and his wife, Sylvia Benson, of Washington Depot; a sister, Sylvia, and her husband, Tony Socci, of Milford; a brother, John Benson, of Watertown; and a sister, Jean, and her husband, James Clark, of Monroe; and many nieces, nephews and family members.
