The 40th anniversary of the signing of the Paris Peace Agreement, which ended the United States' active involvement in the Vietnam War and stipulated all prisoners of war would be returned within 90 days, was recognized Jan. 27 in New Milford.

A bell-ringing ceremony wwas hosted by the Connecticut POW-MIA Forget Me Nots at St. Francis School, just up the hill from the Village Green.

As bells rang at noon, the names of Connecticut's POW/MIAs were solemnly read.
