'Beatlemania' to support arts center
The event, which will take place at New Milford High School along Route 7 South, will feature members who starred in the Broadway production "Beatlemania."
The production will consist of two acts, three costume changes and 40 songs, each element mirroring the evolution of The Beatles.
A VIP after-show meet and greet session will be held at the VCA, located at 12 Main St., with food and beverages to be provided by local restaurants.
Tickets are $30 for the concert only and $55 for the concert and the meet and greet session, with proceeds to benefit VCA programming.
Tickets are available at the VCA.
A sold-out event would equal $10,000 for scholarship funding available to those who not only demonstrate a financial need, but who are artistically inclined as well.
"Our scholarships are need-based, but there has to be a desire more than anything," said VCA co-executive director Jayson Roberts. "We want to encourage students who want to be here, and who need an environment that fosters creativity."
