Burnham Library in Bridgewater will open an exhibit, “New Diversions,” with a reception Dec. 3 from 3 to 5 p.m.
The show, which will run through Jan. 28, will feature works in marbling by resident Kathy Barlow.
Barlow’s studio is her basement, dubbed “the lab,” where she experiments in marbled paper, an ancient art form involving floating paint or ink on top of a thicker liquid and running combs through it to create stunning patterns.
The artist will open her “lab” to 10 guests for a workshop Nov. 30.
A second workshop would be considered should more than 10 people be interested.
Reservations for the workshop are required by emailing email@example.com.
The 62 Main St. South library is open Tuesdays from 1 to 5 p.m., Wednesdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
