Barbara Branagan-Mitchell, owner of Branagan Communications Consultants LLC in New Milford, has volunteered her expertise in the PR, writing and marketing arenas to help build awareness for ProfNet-Professional Networking Group of Waterbury.
Branagan Communications LLC is a public relations, publicity placement, marketing communications, content writing and editing consulting agency.
In her board of directors position as communications officer for ProfNet, Branagan-Mitchell will write, and place with area media outlets, ongoing press release articles and captioned photos.
The mission of the 40-member ProfNet organization is to maintain ethics and standards of the highest order in all business relationships. ProfNet members meet to give business leads and support Thursdays at 7 a.m. in the offices of the Waterbury Regional Chamber at 83 Bank St.
Claudia Larsson has opened Walk in Balance Massage in New Preston.
Modalities offered include Swedish, Reiki, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release and CranioSacral 1, and aromatherapy.
She is licensed in Connecticut and New Jersey and is nationally certified.
Larsson comes to massage therapy with a background in the alternative health industry.
A belief in lifelong learning led her to study energy medicine in Sweden and therapeutic massage at Cortiva Institute in New Jersey.
Her most recent professional accomplishments are Dr. Upledger's CranioSacral I and Reiki Master.

Union Savings Bank, which has branches in New Milford, has continued its support for the After School Arts Program (ASAP) based in Washington.
The bank recently presented the organization with a check for $10,000.
The sponsorship supports ASAP's The Dream Lives On event, the annual Pilobolus performance, and The Celebration of Young Writers event.
The After School Arts Program reaches more than 6,000 children and adults each year through its special events, educational workshops and programs in the literary, performing, visual and culinary arts fields.
Klemm Real Estate, which serves the Greater New Milford area, has had a highly productive first quarter of 2014, brokering 47 percent of all Litchfield County sales more than $1 million, according to data from the widely used Multiple-Listing Service.
"According to MLS, there have been 17 sales year to date in excess of $1 million in all Litchfield County towns," said Graham Klemm of the firm bearing his name.
Klemm has participated in eight of the 17 sales.
"The Klemm firm has had the highest sales YTD in Bridgewater, Washington, and Warren," the Realtor said.
