Minor Memorial Library in Roxbury will present a program on the history use and current research into the honeybee in America April 18 at 1 p.m.

Dr. Al Avitabile will be the guest speaker, and sell and sign copies of his book "Beekeepers Handbook," of which he is a co-author.

Avitabile, a beekeeper since 1965, will provide an historical overview of the history of the honeybee in North America and will discuss the rise of the honeybee industry and recent findings of current research.
