Averill Farm in Washington is well into its season.

Since 1746, the farm has been operated on the same land the Averills purchased from the holdings of Chief Waramaug.

The 250-acre farm is run primarily as a fruit orchard, but also produces hay and Christmas trees.

In addition to pick-your-own apples and pears, offerings include fresh apple cider and apple cider donuts, along with pies and other baked goods.

The farm at 250 Calhoun St. is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
