Christ Episcopal Church in Roxbury will kick off its treasure trove auction with a preview cocktail party Sept. 28 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The auction will take place Sept. 29 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Beginning at 11 a.m., Bernie McManus of Woodbury will appraise items from home for a fee of $15 for up to three items.

Waterford glassware, Delft, antique crystal decanters, jewelry, gift baskets and more will be up for bid during the silent auction, which will run concurrently with the appraisals.

Mitchell Borenstein of Applewood Auctions in New Milford will call the live auction at 1:15 p.m.

Items up for bid will include paintings by local artists, Chinese porcelain, Steuben crystal, antique rustic chairs and lithographs, unique chandeliers, getaways, a tour of an amazing private collection, golf outings, an extraordinary electric guitar and other items.

Lunch fare and baked goods will be available to purchase.

Admission to the preview is $15 per person.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit local food banks, after-school programs and the historic renovations of the church at 4 Wellers Bridge Road.
