Asap! invites young writers in kindergarten through the 12th grade to submit literary works for its 16th annual Celebration of Young Writers.

By submitting works of poetry, prose, or playwriting, students will have the chance to share their work at a special live event and be published on the Asap! website.

A panel of judges will select exceptional pieces through a blind process where all names and schools are removed from the writing pieces.

Asap!’s top selected young writers from across the state will read their work at a special outdoor event for their families July 23 in Washington.

Leading up to this special event, they will work with coaches and rehearse from home in preparation for presenting their work alongside Asap!’s Inter District Strings students, and the Waterbury Symphony Orchestra. Details and submission guidelines may be found at asapct.org. The submission deadline is April 29.
