Art, craft show set in Gaylordsville
The 25th annual Merwinsville Hotel art show will be held Oct. 5-8 in Gaylordsville.
The event will feature artwork, photography, fine crafts, furniture, fiber arts and jewelry.
Festivities will kick off with a meet the artists gala preview Oct. 5 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
The gala will feature live music, finger foods from the Community Culinary School of Northwestern Connecticut based in New Milford, beverages and desserts.
"We're excited about this year's show," said Merwinsville Hotel Restoration president Jeremy Ruman.
"We're looking forward to everyone celebrating our 25th anniversary," she said, noting new and returning artists will participate.
Tickets to the gala are $20 for members and $25 for non-members.
The show will be open Oct. 6-8 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Admission to the show is $1 for adults and free for children under 16.
Proceeds will benefit the continued restoration process of the historic hotel located at 1 Browns Forge Road.
