To the Editor:

The Prisoner of War/Missing in Action, CT Forget-Me-Nots held its annual benefit dance at VFW Post 1672 in New Milford recently.

Flashback has provided their incredible music as a benefit for 28 years to enable us to continue to support the families of our POW/MIAs and to pursue an honorable resolution to this national tragedy for 31 years.

We extend a special thank you to Flashback for their continued support throughout these years!

We were very fortunate to have the opportunity to hold our annual dance at VFW Post 1672.

We are very grateful to the members of the VFW and its auxiliary for their generous support and concern for our POW/MIAs.

Everyone enjoyed the hors d’oeuvres, platters, and snacks, which were donated by area businesses.

Thank you to The Pantry, The Market CT in Northville, Big Y, Stew Leonard’s, and Stop & Shop for the delicious culinary treats.

Once again, we received outstanding raffle prizes from area merchants and individuals despite these difficult economic times.

Thank you to the following merchants and individuals for their overwhelming generosity: Natural Marketplace, Alpenhaus, Tasty Waves, Torie and Howard, Sharoan’s Hair Studio, Ruth Chase Flowers, Fat City Screen Printing & Embroidery, Nan Rossiter, Len’s Barber Shop, Nordica Toys, Theatreworks, American Legion Post #87, Washington Food Market, Averill Farm, Washington Supply Outdoor Living, The Washington Pizza House, Appletree Design Depot, Hidden Valley Eatery, Starberry Farm, White Horse Pub, Maple Bank Farm, Louise Ruscoe, Seven Angels Theatre, Warner Theatre, Candlewood Tool & Machine Shop, Market Place Kitchen & Bar, Quality Gem, County Wine & Spirits, Devine Hair Co., Amore Ristorante, Hopkins Inn, Hopkins Vineyard, and Privet House.

We wish to extend a special thank you to the members of American Legion Post 87 in Washington Depot for their continuous overwhelming generosity and support.
