The Friends of the Roxbury Senior Center will host a sale of vintage bottles, appraisals of antiques and a sale of bluebird houses April 21 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event will take place at the barn behind the senior center at 7 South St.

Nearly 1,500 vintage bottles, previously part of a collection owned by the late Lloyd Green, formerly or Roxbury, will be sold.

Clear, amber, blue and green bottles will be included as will mason jars, torpedo bottles, embossed soda and milk bottles and bottles from farms and bottlers in the area.

Verbal appraisals of antiques will be offered by Connecticut Antique Appraisals for $5 for one item and $10 for three items.

For large furniture items, a photo of the item along with a drawer, if possible, is recommended.

Bluebird houses handmade by the late Joe O'Brien will be sold for $20 each.

Proceeds from the bottles and appraisals will benefit the senior center.

Proceeds from the sale of bluebird houses will benefit the Roxbury Residents' Relief Fund.
