Appraisal event planned at Warren library
The Warren Public Library will sponsor an antiques and collectibles appraisal June 23 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Sackett Hill Road library.
The library has obtained the services of three highly experienced and respected appraisers.
Carl Hotkowski, the owner of Connecticut Antiques and Appraisals, who has spent more than 40 years appraising everything from antique furniture to jewelry and china, will head the team.
He will be joined by Jay Côté, an avid collector, who has also been an antiques dealer for 28 years, and whose areas of expertise are china, crystal and silverware. He is also a supplier for Replacements, Ltd., the nation’s largest tableware matching service.
Jeff Russak, an expert in fine jewelry, also be on hand.
Refreshments will be provided.
Admission is free.
Verbal appraisals of three items for $10 and $5 for each additional item will be provided.
