Kent Memorial Library will hold an Apple products workshop, “Top 5 Tips for Apple Products,” Nov. 5 from 2 to 4 p.m.

The program will also include a bonus “top 5 for your Mac.”

Tech tutor Michael Jay will lead the program at the Main Street library.

The workshop will discuss how to check for scam “phishing” emails, get more from a device’s daily battery life, increase a device’s security,

update a system - and why that’s worth doing and get the most from iCloud and Apple ID.

For Mac users, the program will cover how to organize files and navigate them with Mac’s Finder, backup a Mac with its built-in Time Machine app, scan documents more easily, and why one doesn’t need need to quit apps as often as one thinks.

Because this workshop will focus on a relatively small number of topics, the event will be split equally between the lecture.

Attendees are invited to bring their iPhone, iPad or Mac laptop.
