Antiques show set in Washington

The 27th annual Washington Antiques Show will be held Oct. 4-6 in Washington.

The event is one of the primary annual fundraisers for the Gunn Memorial Library & Museum in town.

Festivities will kick off Oct. 4 with a preview night cocktail party, featuring cellist Mary Costanza, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Washington Primary School on School Street.

A collectors' party, featuring the music of the Kerry Linder Brazilian Jazz Trio, will be held Oct. 5 from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

The show will be open Oct. 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Oct. 6 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The museum's current exhibit, "Coming to America: Washington's Swedish Immigrants," will be open to visitors Oct. 5-6 at the Wykeham Road museum, and Rhonda Eleish and Edie van Breems, noted Scandinavian style experts, will present a lecture, "The Elements of Swedish Style," and sign copies of their new book "Reflections on Swedish Interiors" Oct. 6 at 1 p.m. at the library on Wykeham Road.

Tickets to the Oct. 4-5 events are $125 per person per event. General admission to the show is $10 at the door.
