Andersen to visit Gunn Library
Published 10:51 am, Wednesday, December 6, 2017
Gunn Memorial Library in Washington will present a talk and book signing with New York Times bestselling author and political commentator Kurt Andersen Dec. 9 at 3 p.m.
Andersen is the author of “You Can’t Spell America Without Me: The Really Tremendous Inside Story of My Fantastic First Year as President Donald J. Trump (A So-Called Parody)” and “Fantasyland: How America Went Haywire: A 500-Year History.”
David Owen, “New Yorker” writer, author and Washington resident will facilitate the conversation.
In his book, the author shows that what’s happening in our country today—this post-factual, “fake news” moment we’re all living through—is not something new, but rather the ultimate expression of our national character.
Hickory Stick Bookshop will provide books to purchase and be signed at the library (www.gunnlibrary.org) on Wykeham Road.
This program is free and open to the public but registration is requested.
