Several special events will be held June 10 in New Milford to celebrate the launch of a new book for Litchfield chef Amanda Glover, also known as AmandaBakes.

Glover, who is known for Sweetie’s Airstream Mobile Bakery, is known for her gluten-free baked goods popularized at farmers’ markets and farms stands throughout the community.

Maureen Kenny, owner of Nutmeg Olive Oil, will serve as host for a booksigning with Glover and illustrator Raheem Nelson from noon to 2 p.m. at Nutmeg Olive Oil, 25 Main St.

They will sign copies of Glover’s cookbook, “Sweetie: Bake Your Day: Sweet and Savory Baked Goods Anyone Can Make.”

Photos of Glover with patrons will be available in front of the mobile bakery on Bank Street from 2 to 3 p.m.

Nelson will present an iPad art demonstration from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Makery Coworking at 20 Bank St.

Nelson is an Apple certified iPad Artist with a background in cartooning and oil painting.

The class will explore the fundamentals of how Nelson creates a painting on a digital canvas using various applications.

The program is hosted by Tony Vengrove, founder of the new collaborative workspace, Makery Coworking.
