The Kent Energy & Environmental Task Force will host an alternative fuel car show July 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Kent Green.

A variety of vehicles will be on display, including the Chevrolet Volt, as well as hybrids, electric, hydrogen, grease and others.

"We are very excited to create a venue that will allow vehicle owners to show off their alternative modes of transportation," said Karren Garrity, chairwoman of the KEETF.

"It will also be a great opportunity for people who are interested in finding out more about what options are out there, what works (and doesn't) and how," she added.
