Gunn Memorial Library in Washington will present a program with pianist, educator and author Donald Alfano March 13 at 6:30 p.m.

Alfano will perform under the Mowbray ceiling mural in the historic Wykeham Room at the Wykeham Road library.

The musician will play works by some of the most celebrated classical composers, including J.S. Bach, Mozart, Franz Liszt, Isaac Albeniz and Claude Debussy.

Alfano has performed and lectured in a variety of venues in the U.S. and abroad, and teaches music literature courses at Housatonic Community College.

He also maintains a private piano studio in the New Haven area, where he teaches students of all ages and levels.
