The Sherman Library will exhibit art by resident Gary Albert March 4 through April 1.

Albert will present and demonstrate his craft and photographic expertise March 19 from 2 to 4 p.m.

A resident since 1980, Albert has served as a selectman and is a past fire chief.

Albert began taking photographs in the mid to late 1980s with a 35mm camera he received as a Christmas gift from his wife Melinda.

He has won several ribbons for his photographs at local fairs and has been published nationally.

In addition, he published a book of his works in 2008.

Albert began what he likes to call "creative framing" a few years ago/ His craft style uses a variety of found and everyday objects instead of

the customary glass and wood frames.
