Agnes M. Heron, 91, lived in Sherman
Agnes M. Heron, 91, of Sherman, died Dec. 19, 2011, after a prolonged illness. She was the widow of Patrick J. Heron, to whom she was married 53 years.
Mrs. Heron was born March 7, 1920, in New York.
She and her husband formerly resided in Greenwich. They relocated to Brewster, Mass., to enjoy retirement on Cape Cod.
Mrs. Heron returned to Connecticut in 2001 and lived with her daughter in Sherman.
She was a loved wife and mother. She was dear friends with many of the Sisters of Mercy in Connecticut, and was always happy to spend time with them and help them run their errands.
Mrs. Heron is survived by a daughter, Peg (Heron) Heidel, and her husband, Brian, of Sherman; a son, Steven R. Heron, of Torrington; five grandchildren, Karen Olson, of Neah Bay, Wash., Patrick T. Heron, of Albuquerque, N.M., Stephanie Perry, of Neah Bay, and Allison C. Heron, of Torrington, and Maggie Lynn Heron-Heidel, of Sherman; three great-grandchildren, Brittany M. Olson, Alyssa T. Olson and Jesslyn E. Olson, of Neah Bay; and a great-great grandson, Zane Lawrence Parker, of Neah Bay. In addition to her husband, who died in 1998, she was predeceased by her eldest son, Kenneth M. Heron, of Neah Bay, Wash.
The Lillis Funeral Home of New Milford was in charge of arrangements.
