To the Editor:

Well, well, well. It seems that finally sometime — hopefully sooner than later — our street will be repaired with the new monies allocated before it disintegrates into a well-worn wagon trail.

I think we should start a contest for the worst pock-marked, destroyed, beat-up, horribly patched road in the town to be the first for repair.

I nominate Saddle Ridge Road as the winner (loser) for the accolade.

The poor conditions of our town’s roads have been on my mind for some time and those thoughts were dramatically reinforced after recently reading “State of Disrepair,” an article about the state’s deteriorating roads published in the June 2017 edition of Connecticut Magazine
