ASAP releases 2016-17 catalog
The After School Arts Program in Washington, which serves northwestern Connecticut, has released its 2016-17 course catalog.
The cover features Tim Lenz, one of last year’s recipients of the Celebration of Young Photographers.
The catalog includes more than 100 different programs and events, including art, music, theater, photography, yoga, cooking, ceramics, field trips and more.
Some of the upcoming workshops and events taking place early this fall include smart photography with John Kane Sept. 24, a special effects presentation with master makeup artist Tyler Green Oct. 1, preschool yoga beginning Oct. 12, fairy houses and gardens beginning Oct. 6 and ASAP Art Co. beginning Oct. 11.
The Oct. 1 program with Green, a Litchfield native, will run from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Washington Montessori School at 240 Litchfield Turnpike in New Preston.
Green will perform a live demonstration, including fundamentals of character design, sculpting techniques, prosthetic application, painting and costume design.
He will share his success in the business and his experience on the SyFy channel hit reality series “Face Off.”
