Thousands of residents from the area flocked to the 23rd annual Open Farm Day on Sept. 19 at Sunny Valley Preserve in New Milford. The popular event offered patrons a taste of life on a farm. Among the activities offered were hayrides, animal exhibits, displays of antique and modern tractors and farm equipment, animal petting, wool spinning, nature displays, pumpkin painting and children’s games. New this year was music by the Blue Yodels and Don Lowe and Home Depot Kids Workshop projects. In addition, fresh produce was available to purchase.
