A resolution of approval is being drafted by the New Milford Zoning Commission for an apartment complex at 143 West St.

Property owner Hal Fischel's plan met the zoners' approval recently to increase the number of apartments from the previously approved 99 units to 109.

The project would also add a pool, a pool outbuilding with locker room, and associated parking and landscaping.

The draft resolution is scheduled for a vote at the commission's Dec. 9 meeting.

Fischel received initial approval for the apartment building in January 2012 and had been seeking a co-developer for the project.

The 135,950-square-foot building would be constructed next to Fischel's restored commercial building, The Bleachery.
