The May 16 town meeting vote in Washington will include a question on extending terms from two to four years for the town's selectmen, treasurer and tax collector.

The Board of Selectmen added the question in response to a petition circulated by Republican Town Committee members Rocky Tomlinson and Roderick Wyant III.

If voters were to approve, Washington would join area towns Bridgewater and Roxbury in having four-year terms for town officials.
