Transportation officials to present Danbury railroad project to public

Public can learn about Danbury branch railroad project

BROOKFIELD -- State and regional transportation agencies will a hold public meeting June 16 at 7 p.m. in Brookfield Town Hall to discuss the Danbury branch Metro-North railroad improvement project.

A brief presentation will cover the project's purpose, the need, and the five alternatives being evaluated to improve passenger rail service on the branch.

An informational video, maps and boards will be on display. Study team representatives will also be available to answer questions.
