DANBURY—Three residents are facing drug charges after a weeks-long investigation by police ended in arrests last week.

Police said they started investigating Hennessy Taveras, 37, and Sara Sasso, 27, after reports they had been selling illegal drugs from their apartment on Belmont Circle and other locations in town.

When surveying the apartment last Thursday, officers saw Taveras and Sasso drive from the building to meet with Jennifer Turlay, 33, police said. The officers stopped each of them after they went their separate ways under suspicion that Turlay had purchased illegal drugs and to execute a search warrant for Taveras and Sasso.

All three were found to be in possession of illegal drugs and placed under arrest. A later search of Taveras and Sasso’s apartment turned up additional drugs and evidence, police said.

Taveras and Sasso were each charged with possession of a controlled substance, sale of crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. They are both being held on a $50,000 bond.

Turlay was charged with possession of a controlled substance and has been released with a written promise to appear in court.
