Tami Grasseler, 39, had family in Sherman

Tami Jeanne (Menitz) Grasseler, 39, died suddenly July 7, 2009, at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford.

Mrs. Grasseler was born June 15, 1970. She inspired hope and determination, with an upbeat fun loving way. Never missing an opportunity to meet someone new or liven the moment, her dynamic personality and zest for life will be greatly missed by all.

She is survived by her husband of five years, Peter; her 11-month-old son, Kiernan Ethan of Oxford; her parents, Connie and Stan Menitz of Salem; a sister, Nicole and her husband John of Austin, Texas; her mother- and father-in-law, Paul Sr. and Diana Grasseler of Sherman; a brother-in-law, Paul Jr. Grasseler of Oxford; a sister-in-law, Laura Flake and her husband Chris of Sherman; a close friend, Jeannette Reiling of Wassaic, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews; and many cherished friends, aunts, uncles and cousins.

The Green Funeral Home of Danbury was in charge of arrangements.
