Roxbury residents turned out in relatively high numbers May 21 to pass the 2013-14 budget of $9.93 million.
Some 150 voters approved the combined budget -- $3.06 million on the town side and $6.78 million for the town's portion of the Region 12 school budget -- during a town meeting.
Nine other items on the voting agenda also passed, including adopting a fines ordinance for zoning and inland wetlands violations and purchasing three vacant parcels, totaling 9.85 acres, on Wellers Bridge and Rocky Mountain roads for $433,310.
A proposed blight ordinance failed to be approved and the warned election of Roxbury's representative to the Region 12 Board of Education was not conducted.
The Region 12 board member representing Roxbury will be decided Tuesday in referendum held from noon to 8 p.m. at town hall.
Candidates are incumbent Greg Cava and Jan Steers.
