Robert Myles Jr., 80, had family in New Milford

Robert J. Myles Jr., 80, of Marvin, N.C., formerly of Brookfield, died Aug. 18, 2009. He was the husband of Patricia (Uglietto) Myles.
Mr. Myles was born in Medford, Mass., son of the late Robert J. Myles and Anne (Donahue) Myles.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Putnam.
Mr. Myles graduated from Bentley College in Boston, Mass., and was controller for I.R.M. Insurance in White Plains, N.Y. for many years before relocating with the company to Charlotte, N.C., where he retired.
In addition to his wife of 51 years, he is survived by three children, a daughter, Linda Law and her husband, Tim, of New Milford, a son, Robert J. Myles, III and his wife, Dawn, of New Milford and a daughter, Suzanne Regan and her husband, Brian, of Nazareth, Pa.; and four grandchildren.
Mr. Myles is also survived by two sisters, Barbara Ann McInnis and her husband, Ray, of Massachusetts and Lucille Whittaker and her husband, Jack, of Rhode Island; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Francis Myles; and a sister, Claire Bridge.
There are no calling hours. A private memorial mass is being held by the family.
