Voters in Bridgewater, Roxbury and Washington will go to the polls May 8 to decide on Region 12's proposed $21.35 million education budget for fiscal year 2012-13.

Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. in each town.

The proposed budget would represent a .46 percent or $563,076 increase over the current fiscal year.

It would include $150,000 for new classroom technology and cuts of two teachers resulting from declining student enrollment.

The budget breakdown for three towns: Bridgewater, $4,896,540, with 23.29 percent of the student population; Roxbury, $6,672,301, with 31.6 percent of the students; and Washington, $9,546,035 with 45.21 percent of the students.
