Region 12 voters to decide Tuesday on budget

Voters in the Region 12 school district will offer their thumbs up or thumbs down Tuesday, May 5 on a $21.5 million education budget for fiscal year 2015-16.

Polls will be open from noon to 8 p.m. in Washington, Bridgewater and Roxbury.

The proposed budget would be a 0.26 percent decrease from 2014-15.

Bridgewater's share, with the lowest projected student population, would be $4.39 million.

Roxbury's, with 33.5 percent of the projected student population, would be $7.16 million.

Washington, with the highest projected student population at 45.8 percent, would be $9.77 million.

The polls are at the senior center along Hut Hill Road in Bridgewater, at Roxbury Town Hall along Route 67 and at Bryan Memorial Town Hall in Washington Depot.
