New Milford Public Library on Main Street will offer a variety of programs in the coming weeks.

Offerings will include a screening of "Midnight in Paris" Jan. 9 at 1 p.m.; a "Financial Peace of Mind: How to Control Those Emotions" Jan. 18 at 6:30 p.m.; a program about nutrition with registered dietician Michele MacDonnell Jan. 24 at 6 p.m.; and a screening of "The Ides of March" Jan. 25 at 6 p.m.

Programs for children and families will include a Dinosaur Day for children 4 and older Jan. 7 at 10:30 a.m.; A Snday family program, Bingo for Books!, Jan. 8 at 2 p.m.; and an introductory course of Tai Chi and Qigong for people in grade 5 and up Jan. 14 from 2:30 to 4 p.m. (snow date Jan. 21).

In other library news, residents are reminded that the library offers passes for free or reduced admission to local attractions and parks.

Added for 2012 are passes to the Imagine Nation Children's Museum in New Britain, Mystic Seaport and the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.

The passes are loaned for three days. A library card is required at check-out.
