New Milford Public Library on Main Street will offer a variety of programs in the coming weeks.

Offerings will include a screening of "The Help" Dec. 28 at 6 p.m.; a screening of "Midnight in Paris" Jan. 9 at 1 p.m.; a "Financial Peace of Mind: How to Control Those Emotions" Jan. 18 at 6:30 p.m.; and a screening of "The Ides of March" Jan. 25 at 6 p.m.

Other ongoing activities include a creative writing club for students in grades five through 12 the first Wednesday of every month from 4 to 5 p.m.; a Teen Book Club for youths ages 11 to 18 the fourth Wednesday of each month from 4 to 5 p.m.; a Young Adult Council, meeting Dec. 14 from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m.; and a technological question and answer session every Thursday morning from 9 to 10 a.m.

In other library news, residents are reminded that the library offers passes for free or reduced admission to local attractions and parks. The passes are loaned for one week. A library card is required at check-out.
