Patricia Jo (Chase) Johnson, 62, of Jacksonville, Texas, died July 17, 2009, in Tyler, Texas, with her family at her side.

She was born March 19, 1947, in Torrington, a daughter of the late Stanley and Martha (Glass) Chase.

Mrs. Johnson graduated from Housatonic Valley Regional High School in Falls Village.

She lived in the Kent and New Milford area before moving to Arizona and later Texas.

Mrs. Johnson was a housewife and a Christian. She enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, listening to country music, making candy and taking photographs, and she especially loved Christmas.

She is survived by three sons, Alan White, of Las Vegas, Nev., Chris White, of Goodyear, Ariz., and his wife, Allison Gee, Donald Joseph Gilliland of Peoria, Ariz.; a daughter, Karin Gilliland, of Peori, and her husband, Russell Newman; two sisters, Linda Marks-Scappini, of Torrington, and Priscilla Rumble, of Pearce, Ariz.; a brother, Wheaton Chase, of Phoenix, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Brandi White and Marcus White of Las Vegas, and Stephanie Gilliland of Peoria; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews in the Greater New Milford area; and her former husband, Tom White, formerly of New Milford.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Johnson was predeceased by her two brothers, Frank Chase, of Bayboro, N.C., and William Chase of Torrington.

Services will be held at a later date in Arizona.
