The Washington Planning Commission has completed the draft 2014 Plan of Conservation and Development Update.
A public hearing for consideration of the draft POCD will take place Thursday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. at Bryan Memorial Town Hall.
The Planning Commission has focused the POCD on four areas it believes are critical to Washington over the next decade and beyond: demographics /housing, economic development, the village centers and sustainability.
The draft POCD is divided into two separate but related documents: the primary plan text and a volume of plan appendices providing the background information utilized to formulate and support the analyses, goals, objectives and strategies in the primary document.
The POCD documents are available on the Planning Commission page of the town's website at www.washingtonct.org/planning-commission.
