Open house to discuss New Milford’s key planning doc
An open house for residents to comment on the direction of the town will from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on May 4 at the New Milford Senior Center, 40 Main Street.
The input will be used in the 2020 Plan of Conservation and Development and is the latest in a series of community meetings scheduled to help the sub-committee draft the plan. The 12-member committee was appointed by the planning commission to oversee the plan.
The open house will let community members chat one-on-one with committee members about what is important to them regarding New Milford’s future. Interactive activities are planned, including mapping of future land uses and determining residents’ desires for the town’s housing needs. There will be short presentations at 10 a.m. and noon. Coffee, donuts and other refreshments will be available.
The 2020 POCD will be a roadmap for how the town should be developed over the next decade and an outline of what is important to to residents.
