New Milford will have its third annual bike to work event on Friday.

People can join the group at three points of the ride.

Tom O’Brien, chairman of the town’s bike and trail committee and a cycling advocate, will meet cyclists in the Department of Public Works parking lot on Young’s Field Road at 7:15 a.m. From there the group will travel to Mayor Pete Bass’s house.

Cars with bike racks will also be available for people who want to join the ride from the mayor’s house. Participants can email O’Brien at to get a ride or directions to the mayor’s house in the Merryall section of town.

Bass will lead the group from his house to Young’s Field at 8:15 a.m.

The group will pause briefly at the field so other cyclists can join the group for the last mile to the Green, which will happen at 8:45 a.m.

Participans are expected to arrive at the Town Hall at 9 a.m. where there will be refreshments and swag, provided by New Milford River Trail Association and HARTransit.
