Mayor Pat Murphy was sworn in Nov. 30 for a fifth, two-year term as New Milford's chief executive.

A swearing-in ceremony for the town's elected officials was held before a crowd of family members, friends and other town VIPs at New Milford High School.

Ken Taylor, an attorney with Cramer & Anderson, served as master of ceremonies.

Following the presentation of colors by the VFW Post 1672 color guard, accompanied by bagpipes performed by Pat Maguire, Linda Parker sang the Star Spangled Banner.

The oath of office was then given to town officials by state Sen. Andrew Roraback (R-30th).
