PD: 25-year-old Brookfield man injured in Danbury crash

DANBURY — A 25-year-old Brookfield man was treated for injuries he sustained in a serious crash on Federal Road Saturday afternoon, according to police.

Just before 4 p.m., a caller reported to police a crash in the area of 52 Federal Road involving a motorcycle and a truck. The caller indicated it was a serious collision.

Fire department dispatch reports indicated that the motorcyclist, later identified by police as a 25-year-old man from Brookfield, was partially trapped under the vehicle with possible injuries to his lower extremities. Firefighters said the motorcyclist was conscious but confused and had no memory of what happened.

Within 15 minutes of the crash, medics confirmed the motorcyclist had been loaded into the ambulance and was headed to Danbury Hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Police said the 25-year-old was driving a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle south on Federal Road when he hit a 2012 Dodge Ram being driving by a 51-year-old man from Port Chester, N.Y., who did not sustain injuries in the crash.
