Lights to go at lake club
Neighbors of Candlewood Lake Club could well be glad five, 15-foot tall light poles serving the club's tennis and paddle tennis courts have to come down.
The New Milford Zoning Commission ruled Nov. 27 the poles and their light emission do not meet regulations. They had been installed without site plan approval.
Numerous complaints had been received in the zoning office from neighbors of Brookside Trail and Forest Trail, said commission chairman Bill Taylor.
Zoner James Volinski noted the area currently looks like the WalMart parking lot from a lighting standpoint.
A motion to deny the site plan application for modification of the lighting was approved unanimously.
