KENT — With town hall closed to the public due to novel coronavirus concerns, the town is handling dog licensing through the mail.

The licensing fee is $8 for each spayed or neutered dog and $19 for each unaltered dog.

To obtain the discounted license fee for newly spayed or neutered animals, residents must provide a copy of the spay/neuter certificate.

If a dog’s rabies vaccination has expired after licensing last year, residents must also provide a current rabies certificate in order to obtain a new license.

Dog licensing forms can be obtained here. Completed forms must be returned with full payment to Town Clerk, P.O. Box 843 in Kent, CT, 06757, along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope for the return of dog tags.

Checks should be made payable to “Town of Kent,” and a separate form is required for each dog.
